Leviosa Phone by Joao Miranda and Julio Montoro

Leviosa Phone by Joao Miranda and Julio Montoro

CA$324.95

Description:

João Miranda and his team envisioned a version of Leviosa using a smartphone.

The concept was bold: a phone that could turn, light up, and even fly - all under the magician's control. To help bring this vision to life, the team partnered with Júlio Montoro, who created a stunning routine and was the creative consultant throughout the entire project.

What they've created is a deeply fooling and highly practical illusion.

Everything is built into a realistic-looking phone that works in sync with a dedicated app (from the magician real phone), giving you full control over every moment:

PHASE 1: A phone, placed face-up on the floor, slowly and eerily turns over on its own.

PHASE 2: You touch the spectator's finger - the flashlight turns on instantly.

PHASE 3: As a jaw-dropping finale, the phone levitates and flies into the magician's hand.

FAQ

Does the Gimmick come with a specific phone case?

Yes. Leviosa Phone includes a custom black case that is essential due to the construction of the gimmick itself and the weight and balance required for the illusion. What you see in the trailer is exactly what you receive. The case cannot be exchanged for another.

I have a different iPhone model. Do you sell a matching case for my phone?

Since there are dozens of iPhone models available, it would be impossible to cover them all.

However very affordable and similar-looking cases can be purchased online if you'd like to match the look of the gimmick.

However, it's not required to use a case on your real phone to perform the illusion.

As a side note, Julio Montoro performed the trick over 200 times for laypeople using a completely different dark case (and it never raised any suspicion).

Why doesn't the magician need to use a case identical to the gimmick to perform the trick?

Because when the magician shows his real phone there's actually no need to ever show the back of his phone. As a result, the audience never sees it, making the use of a matching case completely optional.

Does Leviosa Phone make noise?

If the magician is performing at receptions, street, weddings, corporate events, or any environment with natural background noise (with music /people talking), the sound won't be an issue at all.

If the magician truly wants to perform Leviosa Phone in total silence, we suggest a few subtle techniques to help mask the sound. A quick vocal cue, like a soft tch or whoosh, can enhance the illusion while covering the motor sound.

These simple touches not only hide the mechanics - they heighten the magical moment itself, so in our team opinion the sound it makes it not an issue at all.

Can I just make the phone float to my hand without having to perform the whole routine?

Leviosa Phone connects to a Webapp, so with your real phone you can define the settings.

So yes, you can perform the effect of just having the phone levitate to your hand.

How many times can I perform before recharging the battery?

The magician can perform the trick around 15 times before needing to recharge the battery. However, there's a small LED that lights up red to warn that the battery is getting low. Even after this warning appears, the magician can still perform the trick about 3 more times.

How is the battery charged? And can I swap it?

The battery is charged via a standard USB-C port, and it charges in the same location as your real phone.

If ever needed, the internal battery can be exchanged easily in just a few seconds.

How do I turn ON the gimmick?

During the performance the magician secretly presses a button in the right side of the case, and the gimmick will vibrate, alerting you it is ON.

Does the leviosa screen light up?

It doesn't light up.

However, the screen is made of real glass (made specifically for us), so itlooks 100% like a real phone. If you place the Leviosa Phone next to a real phone, it is virtually impossible to tell which one is which.

I have an Android phone. Do you sell an Android version of Leviosa Phone?

No, because it's not necessary. As explained in the instructions, the magician never needs to show the back of their real phone. If you own an Android, you can still show your screen normally - and since the audience only sees the front; they have no reference point to compare. The illusion works perfectly whether your personal phone is Android or iPhone.

What are the dimensions of Leviosa Phone?

The gimmick measures approximately:

  • Length: 146.6 mm (5.77 inches)

  • Width: 70.6 mm (2.78 inches)

  • Thickness: 8.25 mm (0.32 inches)
